  • One of the best things about the hotel is that it is a non smoking property
  • When you walked in the first thing you noticed was all the windows in the room
  • The windows were covered with what I think are called greek blinds which unfolded when released by a cord

The Fairfield is a really nice but simple hotel. It has three floors and over 100 rooms. The property is very rectangular and looks very much like a dormitory. The color of the hotel is tan with accents in grey where the air conditioners are. There is no carport for the building but there is an entry way with a small blue awning of the top of the entry doors. There were quite a few trees which were planted close to the building. There were also small low growing evergreens in front of the building. The Fairfield Inn sign was over the entry way in the middle of the building located on the third floor level. The parking spots are vertical and there are two rows parallel to each other which circle the building. The parking lot was quite large. The building was in very good repair and everything was very clean. One of the best things about the hotel is that it is a non smoking property. My allergies don’t

tolerate the smoke and which the hotel being smoke free I do not suffer.

The lobby was quite pretty. When you walked in the first thing you noticed was all the windows in the room. Since there were so many windows, the room was very bright. The walls were painted beige with a white ceiling. The windows were covered with what I think are called greek blinds which unfolded when released by a cord. The flooring in the lobby was all tile. The tile is tan with small brown diamonds placed throughout the floor area. There was a small seating area in the lobby. Underneath the area was a green area carpet looked kind of cheap. The seating was sort of unusual. The “thing” was orange and there was divider in the middle so there was seating on both sides and the end. There was a round end table on one side with a flower arrangement on it. There was also a round end table right next to the door.

      • Over the end table was a large round clock. The lobby area was lit by several large round recessed lights. On the other side of the sofa were several chairs which were also orange and cushioned. There were several potted fern type plants in the lobby. Over the sofa were two dark wood framed prints. The registration desk was quite large and all wood with wood framing around it. The top was very dark. The staff at the registration desk were very pleasant and helpful.

My room was nice and very colorful. The walls were painted a combination of terra cotta and white. The ceiling was also painted white. There was a queen bed with which was extraordinarily comfortable. The pillows were very “firm” almost to the point of being hard. The bed had a white coverlet on it with a plaid blue, white and green blanket at the foot of the bed. The carpeting was a plaid blue, light blue and white, it almost matched

the blanket at the end of the bed. The window at the end of the room had white sheers on it with a horizontal white and green striped pull drape. There was a air conditioner underneath the window which was really quiet. The bed had a large wood framed picture over it. Next to the bed was a royal blue cushioned chair with a floor lamp behind it. On the other side of the room was a wood work table with a lovely wood framed picture over it. You could access the internet from the desk. Next to it was a chest of drawers with a television on it.

The bathroom was very large. Therew was a large mirror over the sink but the lighting was bad for putting makeup on. The shower had plenty of hot water and the towels were thick and fluffy. On thing that I could say about the room was that it could have used more lighting. Everything else was just fine. It was clean and fresh and everyone was extremely helpful.
