Remember Friends Episode: The One Where Estelle Dies? This is another funny episode and one where Joey just received news that Estelle, his acting agent, has passed away, and a minute or so later, he gets a phone call from ‘Estelle’, as enacted voice by Phoebe and he gets the shock of his life.

      But Joey being Joey, it

is so funny noticing how he tries his best to recover from the shock and idiotically funny believing that Estelle is calling from ‘up there’. He even asks Estelle what’s it like and all that, and that part totally cracks me up with laughter each time I watch.

All of them, excluding Joey, knows of Estelle’s death, but seemingly ...

      • that Joey has so many bad news to bear, they spare him this particular one. Joey is charming once more, and when he truly finds out that Estelle is indeed dead for real, the classic reaction is so Joey. No other actors could quite replace his wakiness and clumsiness. Joey does it best, and that’s very imminent in
this episode. Perhaps there is a reason for why they cut short Estelle’s acting in Friends. Maybe because there’s not many more scenes that could involve her, or perhaps she withdrew voluntarily. Whatever it is, I really think the character Estelle, as Joey’s agent in the story, truly lends a very wonderful and comic relief. Kudos to this episode.
