This was the race that I’ve been waiting all season long to see. It had excitement and crashes along with an ending that you had to see to believe.

When the race started, I was just excited to see how the drivers would handle themselves on the track in Chicago.

      Not only was it

the first night race in Chicago in history, but the drivers also didn’t get the chance to practice with those track conditions.

Instead they only practiced during the daylight hours.

It seemed like some drivers had their cars set up for the daytime and they got out in front.

      Once the sun set though,

      • not all of the drivers managed to control their cars.

The real highlight for me was seeing Kyle Busch dominate the way he did.

I figured that since he did well early in the night, he wouldn’t do so well once the sun set.

It took him awhile to figure out his car, but

once he did, he just took over.

The most exciting part for me was the finish.

This was when it all came down to Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch.

Johnson got the upper hand, but after a late caution, Kyle seemingly just drove right by for the win.

It doesn’t get any more exciting than that.
