When I learned that I had the opportunity to interview for a job in Indianapolis, I was fairly excited. At the same time though I was a little hesitant when it came to picking a hotel. I’ve stayed in a few nice ones in the area, but I’ve also had a lot of bad experiences in the area. I decided to let Priceline do my work for me, but I made sure to pick a hotel on the north side of the city. Not only was I close to the company, but I was also in an area that a

local friend told me was safe. The end result was a reservation at the Extended Stay America on the north side.

As soon as I reached my destination, I knew that this hotel was a good choice. It’s in a very nice area with a lot of shops, restaurants and other hotels scattered around. I’m always worried when I see a hotel in an isolated area, but this one was great. I was also lucky enough to have a very gracious hotel staff that easily gave me directions to my interview and were friendly the entire time I stayed there.

      • I also have to say that the hotel was extremely clean and a lot cleaner than some of the other hotels in the Indianapolis area. The room itself was set up just like other Extended Stay America hotels. There was a queen sized bed, a few chairs and a dresser topped with a television. It also included a small kitchen area with dishes, silverware, pots and pans. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they also included a coffee maker with all the amenities needed to brew a great pot of coffee. I’ve stayed in other hotels and had to

        pay for the coffee separately.

I will say that I was disappointed at having to pay for internet. They only charge $5 for the duration of your stay, provided that your stay ends within a month. At the same time though, that seems like something they should do without. I love having a computer and internet because I work even when I’m on the road, but I don’t like having to pay for that luxury, especially since it’s wireless and I have my own wireless card. However the clean bathroom and friendly staff more than made up for that minor inconvenience.
