Starring: Brendan (Rick O’Connell), Jet Li (Emperor Han), Maria Bello (Eve O’Connell), John Hannah (Jonathan Carnahan), Luke Ford (Alex O’Connell), Michelle Yeoh (Zi Yuan)

After gaining absolute control over the five elements and millions of people, the Emperor Han yearned for immortality. A witch, Zi Yuan helped him attained that; however he reneged on his promise to her and killed her lover; so she cursed him and his army, turning them to stone.

      Forward to 1946,

England where Rick and Eve O’ Connell were bored with their rich, mundane lives.

Alex, their archaeologist son, had meanwhile found the Terracotta Warriors and Emperor Han.

Rick and Eve arrived in Shanghai to deliver a precious stone to a museum and met Alex, who brought them to view the excavated Emperor.

They were ambushed by an army general, who planned to reincarnate the Emperor Han.

      Alex and his ...

      • parents were plunged into a race against the evil emperor, to prevent him from attaining immortality and awakening his army to dominate the world.

Fast action and breaktaking sceneries - it was a marvelous idea, to turn the frightening Yetis into allies who arrived to help in a hazardous situation, especially during the avalanche, which was simply spectacular!

The role of Jet Li was limited to grunts and mumbles; yet he portrayed the arrogant and ruthless Han

        Emperor remarkably well.

However, his sword-fighting scenes with Michelle Yeoh and Brendan Fraser were too short.

The other noteworthy actor was John Hannah, as the bumbling Jonathan, who provided some light moments.

Overall, it was rather a letdown.

Has Rick found the elixir of youth? He appeared too young to be the father of Alex! He looked so miserable and tired he should have just let Alex continue the saga.
