TDI stands for toluene diisocyanate. This is a mixture of toluene 2, 4, diisocyanate and toluene 2, 6, diisocyanate.

This has yellow color and pungent smell.

If you smell once, you will not forget what is like because it has unique smell.

If you happen to touch and try to

wash off with water in bathroom, it will not help.

      TDI reacts with water unfortunately.

It gives off carbon dioxide gas and stays on your skin after washing with water.

You should use a lot of hand soap and a little warm water to wash off TDI.

      You need to ...

      • do it about at least a minute or so.

TDI is nasty chemical and very dangerous.

When TDI spill occurs and if the amount is a small, you should act quickly to stop the flow of chemical.

At any time when you are handling TDI you need to use respirator.

This chemical is used to make cushions more specifically polyurethane cushions.

I have been using this chemical at work to make cushions and found out that only a small spill you need to be very careful to what you do.

Do not underestimate what the chemical can harm your health.
