Starring Talia Shire (Melanie Leroy), Patrick Foreman (Jack Coleman)

A mentally disturbed woman I wonder when her mind turned. Did it happen when she saw her husband coupling with another woman, or had it always been part of her psyche waiting for the right moment to erupt?

Melanie, a deeply religious woman, discovered her husband’s illicit affair, and killed him off with crabmeat, to which he was allergic.

After his death, she started off in her new

life, as the landlady in an apartment building which she had inherited from an aunt.

She met Patrick, one of her tenants, whom she felt was the ideal husband for her.

She soon met a lot of obstacles, whom she felt she had to remove; the former building manager who tried to blackmail her, Patrick’s girlfriend whom she felt was standing between her and Patrick, a hooker who found out about the two-way mirror in her rooms.

      Finally ...

      • when Patrick told her that she was just a friend to him; he had no romantic feelings about her, she knocked him down and tied him up in bed.

It is not a horror story; more of an insane woman who mumbled to herself, validated her own actions and felt that everything was destined for her.

Imagine spying on a man next door with closed circuit TVs and a two-way mirror is really gauche! And she

was a very inventive killer different weapons for each victim, the most distinctive being the freezer door! Talia Shire played the role very well; a prissy woman who believed strongly in the sanctity of marriage, but lost in her own rationalization of any situation.

Jack Coleman as the slightly vague Patrick, how could he not read the signals that Melanie was sending off to her? It’s a watchable movie, if you have nothing better to do.
