Bart plays a terrible prank in church. Rev Lovejoy asks who it is, lest their souls will go to hell. Hearing this Milhouse squeals that it was Bart, and so both Bart and Milhouse are punished.

Bart then argues with Milhouse that there is no such thing as a soul. He ends up

selling his soul to Bart for measly $5.

After that all weird things start happening with Bart. He does not find jokes funny, animals start snaring at him, he cannot breathe air.

He feels very lonely types. When he tells Lisa this she says, it is the reason because he has no soul.

      ...

      • So Bart now tries to get back hi soul, but Milhouse asks $50. Bart does not have that much money.

Things get worse for Bart. Does Bart get his soul back?

This episode points out a very good message, that everyone has a soul.

Because of your soul, you know what is right and

wrong. You are who you are because of your soul.

Without your soul, your just a zombie type person. It was very well put in this episode regarding souls.

Loved the part, where Marge tries to guess why Bart is so upset, and she is not able to. A very thought provoking episode.
