Conveniently located just off I-20, Horseshoe Bossier City is as impressive to look at as you approach as it is to stay and play.

Easily the nicest of the three casinos in its general area, the Horseshoe is worth the visit for the luxurious rooms alone. Not kidding when they say “all suite hotel,” for the price of a regular hotel room you can relax in serious style. The most impressive part of staying in a Horseshoe suite is the huge, two-person bathtub in each room, and conveniently located bathroom television.

With every the exeption of one time, when I booked last minute and wound up in a nearly as impressive handicapped room, these features have been available in every room I’ve stayed in. I visit this hotel atleast five times a year.

As a fan of room service, I enjoy the fast response and great food delivered to my door at a reasonable price. I usually opt for the chicken ceasar salad, which is to die for.

The hotel staff has always kind, accomodating, and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs,

      • and the hotel lobby is beautiful.

The casino boasts 3 large floors of gaming, including plenty of tables and slots, from penny machines to high limit table games. Horseshoe is keeping with the times by keeping up with the latest popular slot games, such as “Wizard of Oz” and “Monopoly” slots. I personally walked with an impressive $800 payout on the “Wizard” during a particularly lucrative stay.

A buffet kind of girl, my only dining commentary will be regarding the Village Square Buffet, which used to be a great place to

eat but seems to be declining in quality over time. While there is a great selection of items to choose from, the food is often cold and sometimes taste like leftovers.

There is both valet and lot parking, as well as convenient parking garage parking.

As a Harrah’s Total Rewards member, I have found this hotel to be very generous with hotel comps, even on weekends.

If Horseshoe doesn’t turn out to be your thing, you’re close enough to skip right on over to Boomtown or Sam’s Town casinos, located just around the corner.
