The Postman with Kevin Costner and Will Patton. What a great story told by a great actor Imagine that the world’s governments crumbled and all communication non existent between the surviving clans.

This description does not generate the level of interest that this exciting and remarkable movie deserves.

Kevin Costner is a Shakespearean actor who travels from town to town earning a subsistence by putting on plays.

Will Patton is an ex-computer salesman who leads a force of soldiers fighting for control of America.

When Costner dons the uniform of a dead postman he is mistaken for a representative of the U.

      S.

      President,

      • this legend begins to take on a life of its own.

A young idealist called Ford Lincoln Mercury builds up a postal service and unites the people once again.

Costner and Patton are exceptional in their roles.

I enjoyed the simplicity of the story and the sharing of hope for a better world.

Tom Petty had an effective cameo role as himself and leant a touch of eeriness to the movie.

There was just the right mix of action and love scenes to hold the audience’s attention.

The ending was defined by profound speeches and left the viewer well satisfied in wonderment.

I would classify this movie as Costner’s best.
