Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” is the fifth installment in the hugely popular Grand Theft Auto series of video games. And it carries on the same features which made the previous games popular. The game is an action adventure game using a sandbox style of non-linear play.

The game is based in the fictional state of San Andreas consisting of Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas. The game starts with the return of Carl Johnson to his home because of his mother’s murder.

      Slowly he

takes over his gang operations and in the process unfurls the secret behind his mother’s murder. The storyline takes Carl Johnson to a number of locations in the map and through an exhaustive list of missions.

The game retains the the same style as the previous games. It is a third-person shooter game along with huge emphasis on automobiles.

The name itself is an indication that majority of the missions require driving, flying, etc in addition to shooting. The player needs to drive automobiles, boats, fly aeroplanes ...

      • and helicopters.

In fact, there are even driving and flying schools included in the game which are to be completed successfully. The most significant feature of the game is the non-linear way of play where the player is allowed to explore the map at his own will and completing the levels whenever the player wants.

There are a lot of things to explore with many sub-missions such as dropping of passengers, working as a valet parker or go dine in a diner, go on a date

with a girlfriend, get a new hair cut, flex muscles in a gym, buy new clothes in various outlets. The sheer range of possibilities in the game is huge.

One thing about the game is that it never bores you. Each level is interesting, each mission is new making it hard to stop playing the game.

There are a whole lot of features that I’m sure even I don’t know even after completing the game. That I think sums up how huge and interesting this game is.
