Homer and Marge go to Bart and Lisa’s school for parent teacher’s meeting. While Lisa’s teacher praises Lisa, the same is not with Bart’s teacher who says that Bart needs to be disciplined before he ruins his life. Marge takes this seriously and tells Homer that it is about time they disciplined Bart.

Meanwhile at home Bart does something mischievous.

Initially Homer does not want to punish Bart, but on continuous pestering of his wife he does punish him.

He sends him to bed without food. However Homer gets him food eventually, but tells him to promise him he will be good.

However Bart makes a false promise, and Homer becomes real mad. Homer forbids him from watching The Itchy ...

      • and Scratchy Movie.

Bart becomes very sad and upset because he cannot watch the movie. Months pass by but Homer does not allow him yet.

Will Homer ever allow him to watch?

This episode shows how parent’s sometimes should take steps which are for the child’s own good. Although the child might not feel so, but in the long run, it

        will help him.

Very thoughtful message is given out here. I really liked the scene where Homer pleads with Marge so that he can meet Lisa’s teacher and she should meet Bart’s teacher.

She refuses, and he tells her to guess a number between 1 to 50, and she guesses the right number. Really hilarious.

A very thought provoking episode overall.
