One of the most entertaining and lesson-filled computer animated movies I’ve watched would be Kung Fu Panda. A 2008 offering from Dreamworks starring Jack Black as the voice of the main character, Po, the panda who’s crazy about kung fu. He knows everything about kung fu except that he doesn’t really. He knows the facts but he doesn’t know how. He can talk about it but showing it would be another matter altogether.

Po would always dream of becoming the best kung fu warrior but

that remains a dream. In reality, he’s just a noodle soup cook. One day, Master Ooguay announced that he will choose the Dragon Warrior. The dragon warrior will be the most powerful because he will have what other’s doesn’t, the power of the dragon scroll and he is the one destined to beat the protagonist in the movie, Tai Lang.

The combination of kung fu, equally adorable characters, remarkable plot and humor couldn’t be more perfect. This is one movie the kids of all ages,

      • without a doubt, will fall in love with. Even the adults will adore this one.

This movie is tailored made for Jack Black. The Panda in every way is him. He’s perfect for the role that everything in the movie clicked well. The script is far from boring, the voices are appropriate for every character and the humor is just natural. The animation is very impressive too. I can vividly remember what a Panda’s butt looks like. The fight sequences are also commendable. And

more importantly, the movie tells a valuable lesson not only for kids but every being who has a dream.

“To believe something is special, you just have to believe it’s special.” That’s what Po’s dad told him that changed his life forever. I think that’s a lesson everyone needs and should hear.

Kung Fu Panda is a movie for the whole family. It’s highly entertaining, remarkably humorous and teaches us a lesson about life. What more would you ask for?
