“Mirror, Mirror” is the 5th episode of the fifth season of Desperate Housewives on ABC. This was a great episode that was packed with funny moments while pushing forward the plot with Dave and filling in a lot of holes in the five-year gap from where the show left off last season.

The story showed us how Carlos and Gabbie ended up having kids,

how Lynette and Tom survived another near-death encounter, how Susan met Jackson, and why Bree owes so much to Katherine.

The new character of Dave really stole the show in this episode. He is just so slimy but yet charismatic at the same time. You just know he is up to something horrible but we really have no idea exactly ...

      • what he is planning to do. It is fascinating to watch him blow his stack one minute and then be ruthlessly calculated the next minute. He is the best villian the show has had for some time.

The writers are doing a better job making these seem like real people. This episode worked because the characters dealt with realistic problems like

        boredom, divorce, and wanting children.

But like I said, Dave stole the show. The last scene with him in the ambulance with Ms. McKlusky was entertaining because it finally gave us a clue as to what he is planning to do. He is aiming to get revenge against a ‘guy’ who wronged him in the past. I give this episode 8 out of 10.
