OK, I’m a screaming feminist, but I’m reading away at this book about hackers figuring out that the NSA’s computer is now being compromised. Here’s the book’s heroine, all in heels, being escorted around by the hero.

Dan Brown falls into the guy trap where he invents a smart woman and

then has a guy, who is not as good looking, rescue her somehow and get the girl.

This book is no different as the hero goes running around the huge ball of flames all over the building.

bed, she knew he was the one.

” OK? Does James Bond novels start off this way? Give me Starling from Silence of the Lambs any day.

The villain is the same kind of villain that was in Da Vinci Code: bureaucratic, older, patronizing.

The cool part of this book, though,

is the central conflict: they are trying to figure out the code to shut down the virus that’s eating the security walls of the NSA’s computer.

They have to do a million trials to figure it out while the hackers digitally surround them like wolves.

I could not put the book down.

I read it over 2 business flights.
