  • On the boat ride back, there was a cold buffet that was included basically cold cut meats, salads, and these really delicious, sliced cob corn nibbles that were out of this world
  • We'd definitely go again, and we gave it an 11/10, it was awesome

My husband and I, along with three friends booked a boat tour to Whitehaven Beach while staying on Hamilton Island. This beach is the whitest beach you’ll ever see, with water so clear that you can see your feet when you’re in up to your neck. The sand is like sugar, or baking soda, unlike any other beach we have ever seen.

The staff brings lots of toys if you want to play cricket or Frisbee,

and there is a photographer who goes around and takes photos of everyone during their time at the beach (which is only a couple of hours which was a bit of a disappointment, but it would have been a long day with the boat ride if we would have stayed any longer). The photos are then displayed on a TV screen as a slideshow on the boat ride back. The photographer took several ...

      • pictures of us doing dumb stuff like getting in a pyramid and doing the “Toyota jump,” which we were able to purchase online after we returned home. He made us feel really comfortable, and spent plenty of time taking candid shots of us.

The buffet was free, although we had to pay extra for beer. The boat is a bit crowded, so if you want a good seat (or a table) get on early.

We would have paid double to do this trip. Your time on the beach is relatively short, but it is worth every minute. You’ll never see any beach more pristine than this one. We’d definitely go again, and we gave it an 11/10, it was awesome!
