A few years ago, a reputed mobile phone manufacturing company included a fawn colour pug dog in its advertisement. Since then, pug has become a hot favourite dog breed to be kept as a pet in houses and the price of the breed has also sky-rocketed.

Basically originated from china, the pug is a small breed. It grows up to or lower than a feet height. The acceptable colours

are fawn with black muzzle or complete black.

Kids have a real craze for them due their flat face & protruding eyes (which makes them look cute, funny and childish).

A pug remains small and is manageable on all fronts like feeding, grooming, etc.

It also requires only small walks or exercise and is therefore suitable for apartments and small houses.

A pug is a very playful dog and has ...

      • a cool temperament and thus ideal for even small kids at home. They do not usually bite or unnecessarily bark, with exceptions.

Because of a small hair coat, a daily brushing of the coat and only monthly baths can suffice the cause.

A pug should never be put on leash normally, unless it is an aggressive exception.

While buying a pedigree pug pup which comes at a huge

cost, see the registration papers, vaccination details, chip if injected, body colour, muzzle colour, wrinkles on the face and get the pup checked by a vet.

Additionally, you can see the pedigree features of the breed from the AKC (AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB) website.

The only negative side of the breed is a lot of care on the eyes part and the nostril part as they protrude and are liable for much easy infections and injuries.
