Growing up, I loved corn bread. My family had it often, but it was always a chore to make it. There were so many ingredients and so much mixing to do. It was messy and time consuming. Over the years, some companies have come out with simple mixes,

but none of them has ever matched that yummy taste of the homemade corn bread.

Well, I finally found something that is close. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s darn close.

Marie Callender’s Original Corn Bread Mix not only tastes good, but it’s extremely easy to make and has virtually no mess.

      • All you need is their yellow pouch of corn bread mix and water. That’s it! Oh, and you need a pan or foil pan to cook it in, of course.

It just takes a couple of minutes to empty out the pouch and pour in the water. As my

readers know, I’m into convenience and ease. I actually pour the mix and water directly into a foil pan. I mix it and bake it, so that I have no need to dirty a mixing bowl. Roughly forty minutes later, out comes hot, delicious corn bread!

Marie Callender has done it again!

Yes, it does have a sweet taste. Not high on sweet note, though.
