Angel Eyes” was promoted as a Jennifer Lopez movie because, at the time, she was a very hot celebrity; however this movie is all about the acting talents of James Caviezel. Although the movie was promoted as one of the best roles for Lopez, it didn’t live up to what promised and Lopez ended up with a nomination for the Razzie Award. “Angel Eyes” was the first movie out of three

(”Gigli” and “Jersey Girl”) that proofed to be a bad choice for this actress.

The acting road for James Caviezel turned out to be different. Surprisingly enough, “Angel Eyes”, although not an impressive movie, helped him get noticed in Hollywood together with his interpreation in “The Thin Red Line”. I must admit that Caviezel does a good job in this movie in interpreting the disoriented Catch. Lopez insisted that Caviezel gets this ...

      • part in “Angel Eyes”, without knowing him, after watching his acting talents in “The Thin Red Line”. After this movie, Caviezel was involved in two big movies “The Count of Mounte Cristo” and “The Passion of Christ”.

Angel Eyes” is the story of two people Sharon Pogue (Lopez) who works as a policewoman and Catch who seem to be a lone wonderer. Both people have got emotional baggage to deal

with and together they try to get rid of them to be happy.

Two other actors were interested in interpreting the part of Catch Ben Afflick and Aaron Eckhart. Both were turned down, when Lopez insisted that Caviezel to be chosen.

Angel Eyes” is a mixture of drama and romantic movie that failed to impress me due to a very weak script. The only noticeable thing is Caviezel interpretation of his character.
