  • We connected it to our high end RCA Scenium Home Theatre System and at first were impressed with the sound an picture
  • Thankfully, after some time and several conversations with various people in both the repair shop and the Best Buy head office, it was agreed that we could return the television and buy a different branded tv

This television was purchased for us as a birthday gift from Best Buy. It was a nice looking, pewter coloured tv with a remote and was 27″.

We connected it to our high end RCA Scenium Home Theatre System and at first were impressed with the sound an picture.

Even using the tv without our home theatre system seemed pretty impressive.

      But: Within a few

days we started to get a loud humming noise with the television and some flickering on the picture.

We contacted Best Buy and we’d purchased an extended warranty from them so they instructed us to bring our television to a repair shop that they designated.

We weren’t pleased to say the least with the thought of dragging out our old regular television which looked so ...

      • strange after viewing on a flat screen television.

We got the runaround for about a week when the repair shop told us that they weren’t sure if they could fix the television because apparently Best Buy was no longer planning to carry the Apex line.

Best Buy didn’t give us the same answer and gave us the runaround.

Thankfully, after some time and several conversations

with various people in both the repair shop and the Best Buy head office, it was agreed that we could return the television and buy a different branded tv.

I was disappointed in the quality control and felt Best Buy was not very forthright with us.

In the end we got a Toshiba Flat Screen for slightly more money but it was worth the extra money.

The Apex Flat Screen was far inferior and rather disappointing.

    William Cavil says :

How do you hook up external speaker system

    ReviewStream.com
    John says :

William, this would depend in large part on the type of speaker system that you’re trying to hook up. However, most speaker systems come with an aux cable. You should be able to simply connect the aux cable to your TV.

    Galega says :

This TV comes with both 3.5mm mini jack and HDMI output. Now, you need to use a connection as per the external speaker you want to connect with. The port is at the right side panel of this TV.
