  • I know that Chowking is actually the only Chinese fastfood chain in the Philippines, so they are famous for their so called Chinese meals but then again, they become really successful in the country because Filipinos find the taste good for them, but not quite for the Chinese
  • I have nothing against Chowking, there are fried rice meal they have that I love too, cheaper but tastes okay, but then most of the meals, their dumplings, the servings, the food all are really lacking the element of a real and true taste of the Chinese cooking

Reading a question on the yahoo answers! Link a while ago about Chowking makes me think well, of course not and there is no way they would be able to join the Chinese market. I know that Chowking is actually the only Chinese fastfood chain in the Philippines, so they are famous for their so called Chinese meals but then again, they become really successful in the country because

Filipinos find the taste good for them, but not quite for the Chinese. Chinese market are hard to please when it comes to food, I guess the Italians aren’t the only race that loves food, Chinese people love to eat too, they love food and they know for sure whether something is good or not, especially with Chinese food. If Chowking will want to cater to the Chinese people’s ...

      • taste buds, they will have to do way better than what they have right now. Chowking offers cheaper Chinese food than usual Chinese restaurants have, but then paying a little more for a real, more authentic and better taste is way better than buying for something cheaper but tastes like some fake food cooked with extenders. I have nothing against Chowking, there are fried rice meal they have that I
love too, cheaper but tastes okay, but then most of the meals, their dumplings, the servings, the food all are really lacking the element of a real and true taste of the Chinese cooking. The Chowking corporation still have a lot to improve on that aspect; until then, they will have to do better than what they are doing now to be able to compete with the so called authentic Chinese restaurants.
