CABIN FEVER Synopsis: A group of college kids head to the mountains for what they think will be a relaxing vacation. But their weekend of debauchery comes to a crashing halt when one of contracts a disgusting virus.

Directed by Eli Roth, the David Lynch-protégé currently grossing out cinema-goings

all over the world with his EVEN MORE HORRENDOUS Hostel, Cabin Fever is an excellent piece of low-budget filmmaking that ticks all the teen horror boxes and then some.

      Sex - tick.

      Black humour - tick.

Blood, guts and gore GALORE - tick.

      If you’re a delicate flower, or ...

      • flinch at the sight of blood, then this film is not for you.

In fact, even if you’re a hardcore horror fan with a penchant for the disgusting, you might find this film a little too much to bear at times.

While Roth occasionally seems to put more weight

on paying homage to his heroes (there are Tobe Hooper, John Carpenter and David Lynch references galore), this nasty but effect horror ultimately does what it says on the tin - SCARES THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF YOU!

Definitely not one for the fainthearted, but if the currently-showing Hostel appealed, then definitely CHECK THIS OUT.
