  • We took our three and a half year old son and our nine month old baby, it cost us £5.75 for each adult, £5.24 for our eldest, but it was free for our youngest to get in
  • Our son liked the soft play farm which took us ages to get him out of, he also enjoyed the food and farming display and it taught him a lot too
  • Overall we would really recommend Hoo farm for a great day out for all ages as there is plenty to do for every one

My family and I had a great day out last week when we visited Hoo Farm. Hoo farm is located in Preston on the Weald Moors in Telford, Shropshire.

We took our three and a half year old son and our nine month old baby, it cost us £5.75 for each adult, £5.24 for our eldest, but it was free for our youngest to get in. the price was good has we had a full day there and there was plenty to do. We arrived at ten o clock it opens at ten and closes at six, but it is closed on Mondays.

      We left just before

five so it was a full day out and the kids started getting tired. There are indoor and out door activates which is good as we have very changeable weather. When we first arrived it started to rain so we headed for the indoor activities. In the indoor bit we saw giant tortoises [and they were giant] they where called victor and Mel. The ferret racing was funny and such good fun, the ferrets looked very contented and looked well looked after. Our son liked the soft play farm which took us ages to get him out of, he also enjoyed the food and farming display and ...

      • it taught him a lot too. I enjoyed the table football, the air hockey and the pool table and my wife enjoyed the pottery and craft cabin. We also had a game of table tennis which our son was very good at considering he had never played before. Inside there was also a toy and gift shop that we visited and got some souvenirs. When the rain finally stopped we headed outside. They had loads of animals to see and we even fed a lamb and a goat. We saw llamas, dears, foxes, owls, parrots meerkats and wallabies. Our son also rode a Shetland pony for the first
time and absolutely loved it and it really gave him a confidence boost. I really enjoyed the sheep racing it was very funny to watch and no sheep got hurt or looked unhappy in any way, they also do goat racing, but we missed out on this due to us having lunch in the hungry shepherd’s coffee shop. The quad bikes looked like great fun and we will be doing this when our son is older we thought at three and a half he was a bit to young.

Overall we would really recommend Hoo farm for a great day out for all ages as there is plenty to do for every one.
