When buying a dog, it can be a very important decision if you have a family or small children. You want a dog that is non aggressive, playful and obedient. When in search for a dog with these characteristics; look no further than the Golden Retriever.

I have owned quite a few dogs in my lifetime, but never any as obedient and as smart as the Golden Retriever. They easily understand what they are being told to do, they are pretty easy to house train and if you train

them good enough you can even get them to do little tricks.

Our Golden Retriever buddy can do all the basic commands including catching a milk bone off of his nose, after you tell him he can. He loves to play dead. You just tell him to sit, lie down and then play dead. It’s the cutest site I’ve ever seen.

Along sides of being smart and obedient, the Golden Retriever is very playful. I like to refer to them as being huge puppies. They love outdoor activity; Buddy ...

      • loves to play catch. It’s a good breed for active people who enjoy outdoor activities and a great way to bond with your pet.

Golden Retrievers have a lot of character and show emotion. This makes them a unique breed. Does a pit bull ever cuddle up to you because the thunder and lightning scares it? Probably not. Our Golden always lies with me or cuddles up with me when it’s storming outside. It literally feels like I’m comforting a child.

The last and greatest thing for a family is

that the Golden Retriever is not an aggressive dog. You will never pick up a newspaper and read that a small child was mauled to death by a cute playful Golden Retriever. They love children and people; overall they love receiving attention.

If you’re in the market to buy a dog consider them as a choice. And never forget to check your local humane shelters for animals that need loving homes. It’s cheaper than buying from a pet store and your giving that animal a new chance at life.
