Despite all the controversy surrounding Tom Cruise lately regarding his personal choices and beliefs, Tom Cruise remains one of the best and strongest actors out there. He is well known for his ability to create a variety of heroic characters and project sensitivity through the camera lens. He is the absolutely best actor for any action movie.

Some of his best or significant movies which are definitely worth watching:

      Risky

Business (1983) Cocktail (1988) Rain Man (1988) Born on the Fourth of July (1989)- This is a particularly strong movie. The only warning is that it is so sad and depressing, it might be a bit difficult to watch.

Days of Thunder (1990) A Few Good Men (1992)- This movie has become a classic. It definitely makes an impact, but not the most entertaining motion picture out there.

      The Firm ...

      • (1993)- This one is a must. Despite the fact that the fashion trends there are making me laugh today, the story and the performance are still strong and relevant. Probably one of the best movies out there.

Mission: Impossible (1996) Jerry Maguire (1996)- Yes that was the movie that coined the over-used phrase “You complete me”

Eyes Wide Shut (1999)- a controversial movie, revealing the world of secret societies

and details which were later included in Dan Brown’s book The Da Vinci Code.

Vanilla Sky (2001) A very sad story. I think I had nightmares for a while after watching it.

Minority Report (2002)- Super entertaining. There is no one that can play those roles better than Tom.

The Last Samurai (2003) Collateral (2004)- Here Tom plays a role which is not his typical choice. But he does and amazing job at it.

        War of the Worlds (2005)
