  • This camera is an amazing tool for anyone wishing to get into the SLR world of digital photography at the medium entry level
  • I will not list all of the specs for it here as I know they can be found on many other sites, but tell you simply that you will not be disappointed with the responsiveness and quality of this camera
  • It will soon be replaced by the Nikon D90 which will be almost double the price with not too many new features, so I recommend getting this one while it is still available

If you are looking for a fantastic and well priced digital SLR camera - look no further than the Nikon D80.

This camera is an amazing tool for anyone wishing to get into the SLR world of digital photography at the medium entry level. This means you are not going to get a basic SLR and not aiming for the multi-thousand dollar professional

      SLRs.

I bought this camera for that exact reason and had it now for a few months, I wanted something of extremely amazing quality and yet with a reasonable price tag and not too complicated to use.

The Nikon D80 is very fast with about 3 pictures per second.

Depending on the lens you put, you will get more or less out of the camera, but the body itself is of very high quality.

My personal favorites are the ergonomics of the camera, it is very easy to hold and use. The body is made of a durable plastic and rubber material that is not a simple and flimsy plastic. You can actually feel the quality in the camera.

I will not list all of the specs for it ...

here as I know they can be found on many other sites, but tell you simply that you will not be disappointed with the responsiveness and quality of this camera.

It also contains very easy to navigate and user friendly controls. I personally also loved how easy they are to learn without any significant courses.

The LCD screen on the back is 2.5 inches,

so easy to see the pictures you have just taken.

The body of the camera retails for about $800 now and at that price is a steal for the amazing quality and versatility. It will soon be replaced by the Nikon D90 which will be almost double the price with not too many new features, so I recommend getting this one while it is still available.

The Nikon D40 was less expensive than the Canon EOS 400D (also known as the Rebel XTi in the United States), the Pentax K110D, and the Olympus E-400, and is competitively priced against high-end bridge cameras (the D40 and D40x do not have live preview, unlike bridge digitals). It was launched accompanied by a new small kit lens, the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18 55 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II. The D40’s small size and low price made it attractive to point-and-shoot photographers moving up to their first SLR, however it does contain features and improvements that would appeal to enthusiasts as well. This can be used in simple way..
