‘On life after death’ is a book written by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. In this book, the author says that our body is a shell or cocoon. And each of us evolves to the next stage of existence as a spirit. This is what is meant by life after death. The purpose of life in this world, according to the author, is to learn certain lessons. One especially has to learn how to love unconditionally.

The author has written this book after some research. She has studied many cases who have had near death experiences and the author herself has

had a near death experience. She says she had visited some spirits and she also experienced for a brief period of time, a state of existence which she calls cosmic consciousness. The author says that she has interviewed many people who have had near death experiences. And she says that majority of them had the same experience, that is, a feeling of wholeness and heightened awareness or consciousness. In this book, she has written several of the near death experiences.

This book is very helpful for those who are mourning for the loss of loved ones. The author says ...

      • that only the body dies, but the soul or spirit does not die. Many of us think that person who has dies has gone forever, but this book shatters this illusion. Death is not the end of everything, but rather, the beginning of a new life. Threfore, death is nothing but a birth. The author also says that there are sensitive people who feel the warmth, love and presence of those who have died. This is because the one who has been dead has not really died, but rather, only his body has been dead. The spirit is
        eternal.

This book is interesting to read, but it is difficult to understand at times. I had some difficulty in understanding some of the passages. But I liked the book and I am sure that it will be appreciated by many who are searching for the answer regarding life after death. There are many who are curious as to what will happen after this life. Many feel sad when they imagine that nothing might be there after death. But the author shatters this illusion. I have enjoyed this book and I recommend it. I rate it 7 out of 10 points.
