Banshee first made his appearance in the Marvel comics universe in X-Men #28 in 1967. His real name is Sean Cassidy, and as you may guess by his name, he is Irish. After his wife was murdered, he was recruited into a evil mutant supergroup that brainwashed the grief-stricken mutant. After

      • Banshee enough of a character to escape such a niche role.

Banshee’s powers are pretty cool and fairly unique in the Marvel Universe. Banshee can emit sonic screams that allow him to fly, shatter solid objects or fire off bolts that can knock his enemies unconscious. He is not a huge damage dealer

but his powers allow him to be fairly self sufficent.

Banshee has dealt with a lot of tragedy in his life. After his wife’s death, he fell in love with Moira MacTaggart. However, this love was cut short by Mactaggart’s untimely death. How Banshee will deal with this loss has yet to be revealed.
