Tower Bloxx Deluxe is one of the most simple and innovative games to come to mobile phones. It is classified among the one-button games because during gameplay, you are only required to press one button. The objective of TBD is simple: Create a tower and make it as high and straight as possible. Sure it’s simple, but it is quite challenging.

There are three modes in total- Quick Game, Build City, and Time Attack. Each mode offers a slight

variation to the tower building theme of the game. Quick game allows you to make your tower as high as you want it to be which would even reach up to space if you are good enough. In Time Trial, the objective is to build the highest tower before running out of time. And Build City is like a career mode of sorts wherein you help the mayor of the city build three districts and fill it up with your towers to attract people and business.

Pressing the drop button (normally ...

      • 5 on the cell phone’s key pad) would cause a tower block to drop on the construction site. And that about sums up what you are going to do for the rest of the game. It’s not as boring as it sounds and is actually very addicting. Timing is very important in dropping the blocks and it is hard to create a perfectly straight tower. As the tower height rises, it begins to sway and it sways even more if the blocks were not perfectly dropped.

        The 3d graphics are great

and is easy on the eyes. The tower sways back and forth, clouds and air balloons drift through the air, the sun can be seen in the horizon perfect. The sound is not as good though because it is boring and repetitive and too kiddy for my tastes.

Note: This game is for everyone and is not exclusive to engineers or architects. Pressing the # 5 button on the cell phone keypad never felt so good. Be sure to have an extra keypad if the one you’re using gets worn out.
