Ant-Man II, also known as Scott Lang, was the second Ant-Man after Henry Pym. He is a lesser known character in the Marvel Universe, but with a feature film in the works to be released in the next couple of years, I expect more people to become familiar with the character.

As you might guess, Ant-Man can shrink himself down

to the size of an ant. However, he can shrink himself down to microscopic levels if he wants to. He can also control ants. He uses a special helmet that amplifies his voice so he can be heard by teammates even when he is too small to be seen with the naked eye.

Scott Lang was a former ...

      • criminal who tried to change his ways. He found out his daughter needed an expensive operation, which led to Lang stealing the Ant-Man armor. After his daughter survived, he turned himself in to the authorities. However, Pym decided to let him keep the Ant-Man armor, satisified that Lang was not a villian at heart.

        Sadly, Lang’s wife found out

about her husband’s dangerous activities as a super hero and divorced him, winning custody of their daughter. Lang continued to adventure as Ant-Man II, but was killed in action by the Scarlett Witch. Henry Pym still lives, and so it is unclear if another will pick up the mantle of being Ant-Man or whether the character will be put to rest.
