The Brewton Inn is truly a southern style Inn. When we were there it had just been remodeled and everything looked extremely nice. The Inn has two floors and at least 80 rooms if not more. The building has really pretty landscaping and the building itself is has nice architectural detail. One thing I really liked were the windows. They were large windows with all the separate little panes in them. It really gave the building style. The courtyard in the back of the building was really cool. There was a fairly large patio area with a wood railing all around it. It was “kind of” attached to the building. There was a ramp attached to it and the area had to have been 30 feet by 30 feet or so. All around it was red mulch and small shrubs and flowers. The courtyard had very large interlocking stones. The whole picture was quite elegant. We had come for an anniversary and the courtyard was just great for that.

The ambiance was just so southern!

The lobby was a beautiful picture. The colors of the walls were rose beige and white. There was a tall curved staircase which let to the second floor. The beautiful wood staircase let to a railing on the second floor. The ceiling was painted with a lovely antique brass chandelier hanging from it. The tile in the lobby was very rich. The tile was a warm mauve and they were square. In the center of the lobby was a fairly large circular area rug in rose colors with white and dark cranberry accents. On the rug was an antique round table with claw legs in a dark color. On it was a very pretty floral arrangement. The room was missing pictures and the walls were a bit empty. One thing nice about the hotel is that they are open for registration 24/7. We arrived in the middle of the night and staff were friendly and wide awake. Check in was fast and ...

      • uneventful.

Our room was large and nicely appointed. The paint color was tan but the carpeting on the floor was burnt orange so it reflected on the walls and made them look more orange. The ceiling was painted white. Wow, the bed, it was just so comfortable. The mattress top was very thick and cushy, I am thinking it was a pillow top. The quilt was lavish and thick. It was white fabric and there was not a stain on it. I think that there was duvet cover on it. The headboard was very large and rectangular in a dark cherry stain. The bed had a gold bed skirt. On either side of the bed were night stands or the same wood and color as the headboard. There were lamps on each side of the night stand. Both were metal with white lamp shades. The windows were large and very pretty. They were covered by sheer curtains and sage green drapes. The room also had an air conditioner.

In the corner by the bed was a green cushioned chair. On the opposite wall of the bed was a huge armoire which held the television and a place to hang clothing. There were several drawers in the armoire also.

We had a complimentary breakfast. The area where they served the breakfast was also a small kind of conference room. There walls were a combination of warm beige walls and white wainscoting. The ceiling was white. There were quite a few tables in the room and a large wood stand on which there was a television set. The tables had white table clothes on them and looked very formal There was dark beige carpeting in the room and several live potted plants. The walls in this room had a few large framed and matted prints. The breakfast was very filling and the way the staff attended to you was wonderful. It made my husband and I really feel special.

The hotel was clean and a very nice place to stay.
