The Fairfield is a lovely place to stay. The area is very green and lush. The hotel was really designed for the spot in which it is located. The hotel has 3 floors and about 80 rooms including some suites. The entire hotel is smoke free. They are really guest oriented. The outside of the hotel is brick or white siding. The first floor is brick and so are the end portions of the hotel. There is a pointed room in the center of the hotel with the big blue Fairfield letters. The room is a dark grey and the whole property is very well kept up and pretty. As we pulled on to the property, the first thing I noticed was the beautifully manicured lawn. The young trees had mulch around them and were all very healthy. Occasionally, you would see a grouping of colored shrubs and flowers. The carport area had large brick pillars which underneath the roof. There was a pretty flowerbed in the front of the carport with a variety of different colored flowers and heights.

It made a very pretty picture.

The lobby was very colorful. As you walked in it was like a rainbow of colors. The walls were either light butter yellow or white. The center of the room has a tray ceiling with a light which really added to the brightness of the décor. The floor was butter colored tile with gold tile geometric designs. The gold on the floor matched the color of the end tables and some of the rest of the furniture. The registration desk was cherry stained wood with black accents. The counter of the registration desk was multi colored granite. The back wall in the registration area was bright apple green. It had a lovely wood framed picture on the back wall and a small clock. The seating area in the middle of the room was really pretty. There was a large multi colored area rug in the center of the room. It had to be 20 feet by 20 feet or larger. There were four chairs in the area. There were cushioned chairs and a sofa ...

      • in a bright orange color. The two chairs which were closest to the registration desk had a small end table between them. It had a glass top and a live plant on it. The sofa across from the chairs was also this orange color and had two end tables on either side of it each with a white lamp and a bell shaped lamp shade. The walls on the one side of the room were the same stain and accent color as the registration desk. It looked very Frank Lloyd Wrightish, but was extremely pretty. The room colors and décor were put together beautifully.

Our room was really nice and was decorated very much like the lobby. The carpeting in the room was dark green with yellow highlights. The room had two separate living areas. One with a sofa and the other with a bed. These rooms were also very Frank Lloyd Wright oriented with linear separators and very rich colors. We had a queen sized bed in the one room and a sofa bed in the other. The bed had

a very bright floral bedspread. The headboard was rich orange in pine and there were two night stands on either side of the bed with lamps made of wood with two white lamp shades on them. The window was tall and quite large. There were sheer white curtains on them with sage green curtains over them. Over the bed was a gold metal framed print. Under the window was a “very quiet” air conditioner. Across from the bed was a cushioned bench for putting your shoes on. Behind it was a tall wall mirror which was really handy for getting ready and looking at your clothing. The sofa sleeper was small and really suitable for one person to sleep in. It had a framed print above it and several floor lamps were in the room.

The hospitality was second to none. The room was clean and everything smelled fresh. There were extra pillows and bath items. There was always plenty of hot water for showers and plenty of towels also. The rates were reasonable for the quality of the hotel and service.
