The Craft is actually one of my most favorite teen movies. It doesn’t matter if many people might find it unrealistic because it’s all about magic and the supernatural (I’m not one of those people). Directed by Andrew Fleming and starring Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Robin Tunney, and Rachel True, it’s the story of Sarah (Robin Tunney), a beautiful but troubled teenager whose mother died.

      Sarah along with her

father transfer to another town and Sarah starts to go to St. Benedict’s Academy where three weird girls, Nancy, Bonnie, and Rachelle, the school outcasts, befriend her.

It turns out that Sarah just like the three girls can perform magic spells. They are actually looking for another girl to complete the four elements (earth, fire, water, air) so that they can be more powerful.

When at last they become ...

      • real witches, they start to make life a living hell for all the people who teased and made their lives miserable before. Everything was fine until the three girls (Nancy, Bonnie, and Rachelle) start to abuse their power and start to fight with Sarah.

Sarah, without her knowing it, is the most powerful among them (her mother is a true witch). She fights the three girls and succeeds.

        I

like this movie mainly because of the very good performances of the actresses. They have really worked their magic.

This is one supernatural movie with a lot of attitude. It’s fun and sexy.

It also shows how difficult school can be for someone different, thus conveying a message to everyone especially teenagers. I also liked the soundtrack.

If you want to see a different kind of teen movie, watch The Craft.
