Yesterday, my whole family and my boyfriend managed to watch this DVD movie, The Orphanage (2007), and I must say it scared the daylights out of us. This is a Spanish movie, so be prepared to read the subtitles. It ain’t that bad, but ain’t that good either. It

is just there, scary, pretty raw and something that have lots of scares a bit here and there and definite suspense.

About a mother and a child and some ghostly encounters. Seeming that the house is haunted and one look at it, you already know it’s haunted. Just how ...

      • the story goes to unravel why or what makes the horror is the fun part. It is something like watching a hide and seek kind of movie, because Laura has this adopted son, Simon, who starts to ’see’ things and suddenly, he’s missing and Laura comes across some haunting sights.
And the hauntings involve children, so why or what, you have to find out and watch for yourself.

Juan Antonio Bayona is the Director and I believe he is under the guidance of Guillermo del Toro’s. Therefore, I give this movie review an 8, for its kind of alright plot and scares.
