What an amazing movie. At first glance, it seemed like it had the ability to be good and bad. I had heard of books before, but never really knew about what Pirates of the Caribbean was about, except for Pirates sailing in the Caribbean.

Let’s start with the concept of the movie. Jack Sparrow, a pirate that has had a mutiny against him, is in search of The Black Pearl, the ship he was was captain of. He ends up being arrested by the Royal British Navy, only to escape and take on the help of a blacksmith, William Turner. Together, they search for the Governor’s daughter, Elizabeth Swann, who was taken by the pirates who mutinied against Jack. While Turner is after Elizabeth, a girl he longs for, Jack only cares

about his ship, and taking it back.

What can I say? First, Johnny Depp is an amazing actor in this film. He is the best casting I have seen in awhile in exciting movies. From his accent to his movement (and even his wardrobe), Johnny Depp fits Jack Sparrow very well. He will make you laugh and put you on the edge of your seats in awe.

Next, is Orlando Bloom. Bloom plays William Turner. His accent fits his role perfectly. Not only is he entertaining in terms of his acting, but he has an amazing chemistry with every actor in the movie, especially Johnny Depp. But let’s not forget the beautiful Keira Knightley. She works very well with Jack Sparrow and William Turner. I felt as if she was only cast ...

      • as eye candy, but she isn’t that bad of an actress. She just has to walk in the footsteps of a great actor in Johnny Depp, as well as the entire cast, which can be difficult.

First, the movie starts off with a flashback scene, which is very exciting. A great way to lure the viewers in out of curiosity. Next, Jack Sparrow is seen, which is also a good part of the movie, as it introduces the main character in a positive way. The scenery at the beginning (and even in the entire film) is amazing! The landscape, the natives of the land; everything was outstanding.

A few minutes into the movie, you find that many of the smaller roles are great actors. They capture your attention and it remains that

way for the entire movie. Not many movies have minor role actors of that caliber. Pirates of the Caribbean, however, seems to be able to accomplish this.

Near the end of the movie, you are very excited to see how things turn out. Everything is real spectacular in terms of special effects and acting ability between Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush, who plays Captain Barbossa. They have a great chemistry together and make the movie that much better.

Overall, I’d give it an 8/10. It was a fun movie, for family or friends and is filled with a lot of excitement. It is definitely worth a purchase if you do not already own the movie. From the acting to the scenery, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl is a great film!
