Wheathpieces Tewkesbury Gloucestershire UK
  • Every Friday night I treat my wife to a take away of her choice and a bottle of her favourite wine, and we call it her well deserved night off as she works really hard looking after our two young children and our house immaculate
  • We very often have a Chinese take away and we normally use the one which is just a short walk from our house and it is called Glory Garden, and it is on the wheat pieces estate in Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire and the food from there is very nice indeed and we would really recommend it
  • We also treat ourselves to one of there deserts, we have the banana fritter in syrup and they are delicious as my wife says naughty but nice and these cost two pounds

We normally have the set meal for two people, which consist of mixed platter which is a combination of sesame prawn toast, spare ribs, mini spring rolls, satay chicken skewers and crispy seaweed, they come with a sweet and sour sauce, but we don’t normally eat the sauce. That is just the starter it also comes with chicken satay, beef with green pepper and black bean sauce, sweet and sour pork Cantonese style, yung chow fried rice and prawn crackers all this comes to twenty three pounds which we think is excellent value for money and the food is very tasty and ...

      • fresh. We also treat ourselves to one of there deserts, we have the banana fritter in syrup and they are delicious as my wife says naughty but nice and these cost two pounds.

The menu is huge and has so many different varieties of Chinese food and it all is very reasonably priced. The staff are always polite and friendly and always ready for a chat. They are open Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from five thirty till eleven they are even open on bank holidays, but the do not open on a Sunday. We have eaten at many Chinese

restaurants in our time and the Glory Garden is defiantly up to restaurant standards.

When you walk in the food smells so good and you can tell they use fresh products and the shop is very clean. There are comfy seats to sit on while you wait for your food and they have a selection of magazines and newspapers to pass the time, not that I have ever waited very long for any of our meals.

Over all we would defiantly recommend the Glory Garden because the food is fantastic and we think it is the best Chinese take away in our area.
