The Fan, directed by Tony Scott is rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America for strong language throughout and some intense violence. The original release date for the movie was August 16, 1996 for United States audiences. This movie falls in the genre of Drama/Sport/Thriller and stars Robert De Niro as Gil Renard, Wesley Snipes as Bobby Rayburn, Ellen Barkin as Jewel Stern, John Leguizamo as Manny and Benicio Del Toro

      as Juan Primo.

Bobby Rayburn is the new star of his baseball team when tragedy struck and took the life of the previous star, Primo. Now with newly found fame, he is on the top of the world, but that was until his greatest fan appeared and starting showinghim the nature of his own success. This did not bear well with Bobby, but by the time he could do anything about it, matters had ...

      • already gotten out of control. With his son now in the possession of the crazed fan Gil, Bobby must now play by Gil’s rules if he is to ever see his son ever again.

This movie shows just how crazy people can be when it comes to the things they truly love, sports being the main attraction for stunts like this.

This movie is gripping and even takes the story home to rela life in

some cases where you do have abductions of sport stars children that are taken. This is a great movie starring two great actors in Welsey and Robert. A better pair could not fan been put together for this entertaining thriller of kidnap and rescue. You haven’t seen fear until someone you know is taken, and worst, if they re taken from directly under your nose. A harsh reality, but a reality none-the-less. Enjoy!
