I bought the old Nintendo DS (Duel Screens) for my kids before the DS Lite came out. It was new at the time, and all my kids’ friends had Nintendo DS’s.

They were the new Gameboys and currently still are.

Well, technically DS Lites are the new Gameboys, but they are basically the same thing.

      Some good

things about the Nintendo DS are that the games are now smaller, in little chips, and you can not only play Nintendo DS games, but you can play Gameboy Advance games as well.

Also, you can set up a clock, the date, your birthday, nickname, and much more onto the DS.

You can also do something called ...

      • “DS Download” where you play a game a friend has wirelessly.

That’s another function that’s good with the DS.

No more link cables! And, how could I forget? It’s a touch screen with a mini stylus and everything! It also uses the same charger as the Gameboy SP so you don’t really need to buy one if

you have an SP (also no changing batteries).

Technology is just getting better and better.

Some bad things about the Nintendo DS are that it’s not very bright sometimes but the DS Lite is much brighter.

Also, it’s quite big and it can’t fit into someone’s pocket like a Gameboy can.

But it’s a very good handheld game console overall.
