In a nutshell, “The Bachelor” is all about a guy who doesn’t want to commit to marriage, which is a reality these days more than ever! The interesting aspect about this movie is that it is a cute, funny romantic comedy that can be enjoyed both by men and women.

The story of “The Bachelor” is about

Jimmie Shannon (Chris O’Donnell) who is very much in love with Anne Arden (Renee Zellweger); however he finds it very difficult to commit himself to marriage. His dear grandfather solves his problem by making a unique testament Jimmie will inherit $100 million dollars if he marries till his 30th birthday. One can assume that ...

      • the solution was very easy marry Anne however things didn’t work out clockwork. To add insult to injury, his dear friends complicate things even further!

This movie is based on Buster Keaton silent film “Seven Chances”. My favourite scene in this movie is where there are a lot of brides running after Chris

O’Donnell. Most of the brides used in these scenes were men! I really like Brooke Shields interpretation of her small role as the greedy bride. I think she did a great job out of it.

“The Bachelor” is a cute romantic comedy with Renee Zellweger in a lead role, much before “The Bridget Jones Diary” success hit movies.
