I am a huge fan of cashews and anything sweet. So when my aunt gave my mom this recipe several years ago, it became one of my favorites. And it is so easy to make.

First you mix the following together: 1 1/2 cups of flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1

teaspoon salt, and 1/2 cup butter. Pat this mixture into a 9 X 13 inch pan.

Heat one 6 ounce package of butterscotch chips with 1/2 cup corn syrup and 2 tablespoons of butter until melted. Pour this mixture over the crust.

Press 2 cups of cashews into the filling.

      • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Take out of oven and let cool and then cut. These bars are great for so many occassions.

A bake sale would make good profits on them, or they are great for a family get together. We do a cookie

exchange every year and they are perfect for that.

Or they make a wonderful gift. You can try this recipe with any kind of nut.

Mixed nuts would add variety, or peanuts would be a good standby. Try it with almonds and it would taste great as well.

Whatever you decide, this is one nutty treat.
