One of my favorite appitizers is the jalepeno popper. But they are so costly to order at a restaurant and even to buy them at the store.

So I came up with a really great recipe that is so easy to make.

All you need is a package of wontons, a package

of cream cheese (regular or light) and a jar of jalepenos.

Take the cream cheese and let it soften for a while.

Then mix the brick with some jalepeno peppers.

Place a small amount on a wonton, then roll it up into a square.

Then you are ready to deep fry ...

      • these or bake them if you please.

(I will say I prefer to have mine fried as they taste better this way.

) This does make a big batch so you may want to freeze some as they freeze quite well.

Do not be afraid to experiment either.

I have made just plain cream

cheese ones, made a taco one with salsa, shredded cheddar cheese, and cream cheese or a ranch one with cream cheese, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, and ranch dry seasoning.

Next I am going to try ruben ones and pizza flavored ones.

This is something that I take when we do appitizers at Christmas and they always get rave reviews.
