      Growing up, I hated it when Mom served us Spanish Rice for supper. I always grumbled when she made it but ate it anyway.

      It was always good.

      Now I long for those days of having her Spanish Rice.

      I follow this recipe and it tastes almost as good as when mom made it.

      For Spanish Rice you need to following: 1 pound of ground beef


      1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1 can tomato soup 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 Tablesppon Worchestshire sauce ...

      • 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cup water dash of garlic powder dash of pepper 1 1/2 cups quick cook rice- uncooked In a skillet cook beef with onions and peppers until veggies are tender.

        Add remaining ingredients.

        Cook, covered

        for 10 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.

        I have used both fresh and frozen onions and peppers for this recipe.

        Either is fine.

        This makes a perfect meal for me.

        Just add a salad and some crusty bread and you have got yourself a healthy meal that is so good.
