After trying out and being disapointed with olay regenerist face cream i tryed out Elizabeth Ardens 8 hour cream. It comes in a 50ml plastic tube and cost me £22.00 from boots. Its suppose to sooth minor skin irritations ,chapping peeling and flaking and its good for scrapes and abrasions and dry lips.

Originaly i brought this as a moisturiser

when i got home i realised it wasnt a skin moisturiser but more of a soothing cream,a little disapointed i tryed it out.The cream comes of the tube a thick brown gel,its so thick you only need a tiny amount it goes along way,it takes a long time to rub in but does smell lovely, its too greasy ...

      • for aace cream but is ideal for really dry patches of skin,i also have a big scar on my lip and my lips are very often dry,i use this on my lips too and have notiiced them feeling alot more moisturised and they seem to be plumper.

Considering i brought this as a mistake i am suprisingly pleased

with it,i have used it on my hands after having acrylic nails applied and also on little sore paper cuts and it seems to make them heal faster.

At £22.00 it was a expensive mistake but one i dont regret my tube is running low now and although i cant aford another i think ill add it to my christmas list.

Elizabeth arden eight hour cream is practically a tube of petroleum jelly, nicely packaged. The petroleum concentration is over 50%. Thus, is the main ingredient. Petroleum is not good for your skin. It clogs the skin and prohibits it from breathing. On top, you condition your skin to stop working on its own. Once you use it, you will need more and more of, because your skin cannot be smooth without. Read up on ingredients, there is plenty of information available, and save your money. There are a lot of healthier products out there that will do the trick.

This cream is completely unhealthy, overhyped and overpriced. If you want petroleum, despite the warnings, then buy vaseline. At least, it’s cheaper and you’re not completely misled.
