Minority Report (2002) is a science-fiction film from director Steven Spielberg and is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for violence, brief language, some sexuality and drug content.

In the year 2054, murder in Washington D.C. has been eliminated thanks to Precrime, a program that uses the preminitions of three psychics, called Precogs, to arrest and imprison future murderers before they have the

chance to kill someone. John Anderton (Tom Cruise) is a Precrime enforcer who believes in the system for his own personal reasons. Years ago his son was kidnapped, and he dealt with the loss by becoming a high-strung Precrime officer. The head of Precrime (Max von Sydow) is eager to take the program national, but feels threatened by an tenacious ...

      • federal agent (Colin Farrell) who is focused on finding a flaw in the system. When Anderton finds himself accused of the future murder of a man he’s never met he’s forced to go on the run and prove his innocence.

Minority Report is a very imaginative and intelligent vision of the future that was adapted from a Philip K. Dick novel.

All the special effects for the futuristic stuff seems like it would be right on the money for our advancement in the next 50 years, which is cool to see. The story is very entertaining but requires a bit of thinking and Cruise does very well in the movie.

I recommend Minority Report to everyone except younger kids because they probably won’t understand it.
