This is a fruity tasting medicine that kids seem to like (unlike adult Benylin). It contains two active ingredients,5mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide(an antitussive)to help stop coughing, and0.

625mg Triprolidine hydrochloride (an anti-histamine)to stopsneezing, runny nose

and watery eyes,in each 5ml dose.

my son has just about tried every medicine for coughs and colds on the market and this is one of the best.

However do not give this medicine ...

      • to your child if they are aged under one, or has an inherited intolerance to fructose.

It causes drowsiness, which is an added benefit as any parent of an ill irate child at

bedtime knows, though be careful if your child is taking any other medicine known to cause drowsiness.

the added benefit of this medicine, is that if your child has a headache, earache, etc.

you are able to give them painrelief as well.

Can I give my son tylenol as well as benylin cough suppresant? He has a cough but he now has a fever and I need to know if I can mix the two together?

Yes, you can use these two medicines simultaneously.

The dose of Tylenol must be in line with doctor’s advise. Further, don’t give Tylenol to your son for more than 5 days.
