There was a time when someone wants to talk to someone far away he had to go to a domestic Telephone or a telephone booth. With the growth of technology an equipment called mobile phone came into the market which allows people to talk to anyone anywhere without connecting any cables. As the mobile phone became popular it equipped with lots of useful options such as camera, data traveler and music player. To make use of this technology I brought a Sony Ericsson K510i mobile phone. Since I used to use an old Sony Ericsson, which suited me well and satisfied me, I always tempted to buy a

      Sony Ericsson.

K510i is a cheap but powerful mobile phone. It has most of the options that other expensive phones have like 1. 3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth. Camera of this phone is only good for pictures.

If lighting conditions are good there is no difference in this camera and a professional camera. But the video quality is very bad. You can slightly increase frame rate by increasing free memory of the phone but still it lacks details. This phone has a good display compared to other phones in its range.

Unlike K310i colors don’t change with the viewing angle. But still it shows lack details. The pictures you ...

      • took with the phone camera, you can’t see all the details with its screen until you see it through a computer monitor. You can easily connect this phone to a computer.

You don’t even have to install drivers. When you select File Transfer mode from the phone the computer automatically recognizes it and installs drivers as a USB Flash Drive (or USB Pen Drive). Even most expensive mobile phones can’t connect at once like this. But you can’t connect a memory card to K510i.

So all you have is inbuilt memory of about 25mb. Sony Ericsson K510i has a joystick to navigate in menus. It is a small

stick mounted on the centre of the phone. So you can easily select, navigate, zoom camera with it.

But it had become defective after about a year after I purchased it. Suddenly it stops responding to my finger. So I have to poke hardly 2, 3 times to recover. But I’ve used this phone for about 2 years, still the joystick bothers me 3, 4 times a month.

K510i is a good and easy-to-use phone but it doesn’t stand against other new high-tech phones. Yet still this phone has all the options come with new phones except 3G. Even though my K510i phone is faded and out-of-fashion to some people, I still love it.

Zeeshan, if you didn’t have the contacts backed up, you would not be able to retrieve them.
