Books like this title, The Hour Before Dawn by Sara MacDonald are really gripping and having a tight plot. Maybe I have a personal liking especially due to the fact that the story is settings include Singapore. And the rest are parts of New Zealand as well as Malaysia. I think author Sara is cool to consider these locations as her story setting.

And as a bonus package, this book happens to be really fantastic, and full of

suspense as well as a certain sadness to it. The story starts with this man whom is from Singapore and falls in love with a London woman. She is Fleur and he is David. Out of love for David, Fleur gives up her passion for ballerina and becomes David’s wife and live happily. She thought the happy part would be ever-after but apparently it does not last. She has 2 daughters, whom are twins and ...

      • one is Nikki and the other, Saffie. Unfortunately, one of them goes missing and that is Saffie. Years later, Nikki, being a twin, still misses her sister pretty much and wonder what has happened to her. In the process of that, she is not in good terms with her mom, whom is Fleur.

My heart really goes out to this family’s character and suddenly, not yet again, this time Fleur goes missing. And Nikki must

find her mother, or her sanity is at risk. Her journeys are to Singapore and to find her mother and to bring her back as well as to connect back the lost relationship with her. But a shock awaits at Port Dickson and even as a reader, I was totally gripped. Read on to find out. This book is as interesting as well as I have found myself to be a fan of Sara MacDonald now.
