White Sands Shopping Center is quite close to Changi Airport in Singapore and I used to hang around White Sands pretty much. There is a sense of comfort being in White Sands, but I pretty much prefer the old ‘White Sands’, when there are no extensions around and the place looks very cozy and

Nowadays, there are more shop vendors and the place is looking the more cluttered. Because the layout is pretty small and people are walking to and fro, especially from the train and the new layout doesn’t work for me. I guess there are pros and cons, because due to the extension,

      • more shops are featured and it makes a more variety of choices to make. I especially love the library right up at the top floor, because it is small and filled with a natural ambiance. The cafe looks pretty amazingly well-lit as well.

As for food options, there are better now. But some

amazing restaurants aren’t featured there. One food restaurant that I like there would be Swensen’s. Nearby to the shopping center is a small park where one can cycle or jog. The area is quite deserted at night, and the bus interchange can look pretty spooky to me, especially after it reaches midnight.
