      Spetzofai This is a delicious spicy dish made of sausages (usually home made ones which they are the best but if you cannot find them just buy any pork sausages or alternatively beef sausages). It is a good combination of meat and veggies and it accompanies perfect your wine during the cold winter nights or your chilled beer the summer nights.

      These are the ingredients you will


      need and it’s easy to make: 1 kilo sausages (pork or beef, you can use a combination of both) 4 green bell peppers, cut in wide strips 4 red bell peppers, cut in wide strips 2 yellow bell peppers, cut in wide strips 4 table spoons olive oil 1 table spoon red wine 2 table spoons vinegar 1 teaspoon oregano 2 red tomatoes (fresh), peeled and squeezed ...

      • 1 tablespoon tomato paste 2 small dry red chilies Salt and pepper to your taste ½ teaspoon red chili pepper Cut the sausages in thick round slices or each sausages in 4 pieces.

        In a non stick deep fry pan, add 2 table spoons olive oil until is hot and fry the sausages.

        Cut the peppers in wide strips.

        In another pan add the other 2 tablespoons

        olive oil, heat it up and fry the peppers until golden.

        When they are ready add into the pan with the sausages and mix them all together.

        Add the red wine, cook for five minutes and then add the vinegar, the oregano, the peeled and squeezed tomatoes, the tomato paste, the 2 dry chilies, the red chili pepper, salt and pepper.

        Cook them all together for about 10 minutes.

        It’s ready to serve.

        If you want you can serve it either with rice, fried potatoes or spaghetti.
