  • My friend has a family plan and his father disabled the features which he was very mad about but in the long run it means reduced bills for his family and they do not have to fight over text messages and emails that become experience so this is a great feature

Early this year T-mobile faced a class action suit from customers who felt that they were being forced to pay for features on their phone which they did not control or use and so they were being burdened against their will. They complained that they did not have the ability to disable these premium messages on their account and so they were being forced to pay for these messages when their kids sent them to friends and also when other subscribers send them as incoming messages to their phone. For example, if you have a friend who wishes to send you a text message and your parents did not wish to pay for them they will be forced to pay because they did not have the ability

to disable either picture messages or text messages.

This suit resulted in a court holding that wireless customers were being billed for these services against their will in some cases. In order to allow you to pay for the features which you are using T-mobile was ordered to find a way that would allow you to disable the services on your account so that you would not be billed for them against your will. Well, T-mobile has announced that they have now made this service available to all of their customers, which will allow you to disable any messages on your account that you do not wish to pay for. If you do not want picture messages or text messages you can disable them by calling 1800-Tmobile ...

      • and speaking with a representative. You need to let them know which services you would like to disable for that the services, which you enjoy, will remain on your account. You also have the ability to disable both incoming and outgoing messages so that your children are not sending a large amount of messages to their friends and costing you an arm and a leg. Once you speak to the representative you will be notified that the changes will go into effect within three hours of your call to the service line.

Also, if you are too busy to place the call or you just want to save your minutes from having to call customer service then you can also disable the services on your account. You

will to ahead to http://www.t-mobile.com/ and then click the accounts tab and finally you click change services. From here there is a box for text messages (incoming and outgoing), instant messaging and email messages. There is also a check box, which allows you to disable all of the services with one click. This is a service, which is convent, and I am glad to see that T-mobile has come up with the ability to do this. My friend has a family plan and his father disabled the features which he was very mad about but in the long run it means reduced bills for his family and they do not have to fight over text messages and emails that become experience so this is a great feature.
